Ecoversource Review
I came across
ecoversource.com or
braindance as she is known on the Warrior Forum at the beginning of
2009 in the warriors for hire section as I was looking for a minisite
designer for some work that I needed doing.
Linda is the owner of
ecoversource.com and
owns other sites including:
http://www.esitegraphics.com
http://www.kunakitemplates.com
http://www.ecoveractions.com
http://www.design27.com
Here is her website in action:

She was offering in her warrior forum
thread under the name braindance the following:

3 Minisites with ecovers or banners for
$100 and as the standard price on the warrior forum is around the $40
mark I felt like I was getting myself a real quality bargain. I had
seen copies of her work that she had already done so
ecoversource.com
seemed the best bet for all my design needs.
I didn't need any work doing for another
week so I decided to save the thread to my desktop wait for some more
reviews to make sure she was trustworthy and the following week I
ordered my designs.
A day later I received a nasty email from
her saying that the offer was closed and that I had no right to order
it from her. I explained I was happy to wait and she assured me that
the work would be completed in a month at the very latest.
I had another look at the thread live on
the internet and she was still taking orders for it even though she
didn't actually have the time to fulfill them with the customer.
A month went by and yes you've guessed it
I still hadn't received my order from her and now I was starting to
get a little mad about the situation. She had received all the
information from me so there was absolutely no reason why she hadn't
cracked on with what I had paid for.
After two months of waiting for my order I
started to get really stroppy and threatened to report her to the
warrior forum for offering services that she had failed to deliver on
and as I paid by PayPal I also offered to report her if my order
wasn't completed in the next 14 days.
Then bingo I received an
ecover from
linda
at ecoversource even though I had opted to have banners not ecovers
because I already had ecovers made for this job from someone else.
Here is the ecover that I received:

I was very happy with it and asked for a
minisite in the same design along with my banners that I was waiting
for.
Then I waited and waited an waited - it
seemed like
ecoversource.com along with
braindance and Linda had
disappeared off the face of the earth. By this point other people had
complained about a lack of order just like I had.
I had no contact from
ecoversource
whatsoever so I decided after careful consideration to take action
with PayPal. I put in a complaint that my order hadn't been received
and that
Braindance from the warrior forum hadn't provided me with my
order and this is the response that I finally received from
Linda at ecoversource:

As you can see she even accused me of not
paying which is really odd as how else can I open a none delivery
dispute with paypal?
We then exchanged a few heated emails
because even though I had put in a complaint with PayPal I would
cancel it in a flash for my completed order. In the end we agreed that
she would complete the work and when it was finished I would close the
case with PayPal.
Two days later I received other parts of
my order but never the order in full. For example I only received one
banner for all three orders and other bits and pieces were missing.
I then contacted her another three times
and she didn't even bother answering me this time it was like she had
disappeared. I left her messages on the original warrior forum thread
and via the warrior forums private messaging service but braindance
failed to even respond to me.
I then felt I had no further choice but to
leave the complaint open with PayPal and received a partial refund
from them. I then left my details on the warrior forum so that others
wouldn't waste their own money like I have with Linda.
I then decided that was the end of the
matter I paid a lovely guy to make me the rest of the banners/ecovers
etc and moved on as I felt
linda, braindance and
ecoversource had
wasted far too much of my time and I wanted to get back to making
money online. It was also the end of May and it had been nearly six
months since I had originally ordered this item.
Then at the end of September four months
after I had washed my hands of Linda someone contacted me that had
also had problems with her. This then put it in a totally different
light to what it was in before.
This really sweet bloke that has been on
my subscriber list for about three years and likes to protect me told
me someone had copied one of my ecovers for the internet marketing
trio that I had also received at the time from
Linda at ecoversource.
Here is a copy of it below:

Basically everything about the ecover was
the same as mine the only difference was what was written in the
actual text even the font was identical. I contacted the owner of it
and he/she never got back to me.
I then started an investigation of my own
and found a Blog called
http://www.caroline-middlebrook.com/blog/.
On one of the pages the owner was offering
a free Blog tutorial and I had to look twice at the ecover as it was
practically a replica of mine:

All that is different is the actual text
it is like she has done a simple copy and paste of her work onto
another ecover. I contacted Caroline and she confirmed that the design
had been purchased from
ecoversource and she purchased it at the end
of last year.
I am bringing this to your attention on my
website because I can't be the only victim of
Linda, braindance and
ecoversource as many other people had ordered her services especially
on the warrior forum. If you have ordered graphics from this seller I
would seriously consider having your designs changed as it doesn't
look good for business if other people have similar designs as your
own. If they visit your site and realise they have seen the design
somewhere else they will think that you have copied someone else's
work and your reputation will go to the dogs.
I have also given
linda at
ecoversource.com ample opportunity to comment ahead of this article
being published and she has failed to respond.
So next time you see an advertisement for
ecoversource think twice before you part with your hard earned cash as
when a deal seems too good to be true it usually is.
Thanks for reading my honest
review of ecoversource and make sure you are careful before spending your money
on graphics.
