Not making money online

And by you I mean any successful internet marketers whether you call them Gurus or Experts. When I personally think of success I always think of the following four things:

	Being in control of my own life and not having someone else telling me what to do or how much they think I should be paid. After all why would you want to waste your time doing repetitive tasks in a factory for the minimum wage.
	Having the time to do what I want, when I want without being forced to stick to a schedule. Being able to take my son to the beach knowing that I can take the day off work without worrying about getting a warning or the sack.
	Being FREE of money worries - not staying awake most of the night thinking that I can't afford to pay this months mortgage. Instead being able to plan nice holidays and days out rather than choosing the free alternative.
	Most importantly is being healthy - There is no point having all the above if you are ill or have recurring illnesses. Even you had the biggest bank balance in the world it would be pointless if you didn't have decent health.

Thankfully I have all of the above!

I was recently on holiday in Singapore well it was a work conference but it felt more like a holiday. But whilst I was there, apart from the shopping when I was in the city centre I was fascinated by all the local millionaires. They looked all rather stressed on their mobile phones racing around with lots of jobs to do. Maybe some were even late to an appointment with a client or some even worked in the financial sector which isn't exactly great right now.

But the big question that springs to mind is - are these type of people happy?

I would say in a flash that they are very happy. They get the buzz out of the latest deal that has just happened and love working in such a beautiful city. If you took the buzz away from them they would find it very hard to replace this time and energy that they are used to.

What you have to remember is that they have found the thing that makes them happy.

In the world of internet marketers I mix with a lot of part time marketers that do their thing online and then spend the rest of the week with their friends and family. The majority will never have even worn a suit in their lives and would take offence if they were ever asked to wear one.

I end up from time to time surrounded by snobs through my family connections. If I had the choice I would stay clear but sometimes it can be impossible to get out of the situation and I have to grin and bear it. When it does happen I will probably be invited to a dinner party. Surprise, surprise 30 minutes in without fail my job will be brought into the equation and they will give me the dirty looks as soon as I explain that I live in Portugal and have my own online business. This is usually a few seconds after they have found out that my husband is a former chef and why I haven't opened a restaurant in one of the over populated tourism areas.

Well if you ask me it has to be one of the most competitive markets to be in and not to mention the extremely high start up costs. Even if you did fail at internet marketing the start up costs are so low that you really wouldn't care compared to having a huge bank loan to repay for the next ten years.

Just think even if people don't fully respect what you do - if you are earning a fantastic salary and can have a day off when you please you have to remember who is having the better life. Just like when I walk around the tourism areas in full season and they are all working their socks off I am the one who has come out on top.

At the end of the day it is all about finding your level...

It is important that you find what you want and work towards it. Even if money plays a key part you will soon find that your focus changes to wanting quality of life rather than money. Your life has already started and you want to enjoy it not just plan for ten years into the future. We are very lucky in the world that we live in and can create a great online income through modern technology.

I would like to show you how to have your own online business set up and working for as little time as possible.

It really isn't as difficult as you might think....

You just have to want it as that it what counts. I sell a lot of products with premium resale rights and in order to receive their premium product they have to contact me first. Well you would be truly amazed by how many people order from me then don't bother actually collecting their product. To me this would be like purchasing something from the supermarket, paying for it and then walking out without the goods.

It is just crazy!

The biggest skill that an internet marketer needs is to be able to write copy. If you can't write copy you have to learn how to. Just like most I had to learn how to write copy and even though it takes a while it is worth it in the end. Just by reading lots of other WebPages you can learn it as you go, paying attention to which fonts work well as a headline and which colours stand out on the background colour that you have already set up. If you like you could say that you are pinching bits here and there from others but because it is about more ideas that no one is ever going to notice.

You should also remember that the customer is after the bonuses!

The guy that has the top job at the bank doesn't care about the main salary, just the yearly bonuses and the size of his company car. Just like when you buy a house its not the actual house that interests you just all the wonderful extras. Like how close it is to the amazing school that is in the catchments area or where the nearest train station is, or even the size of the garden.

Its the EXACT same with INTERNET MARKETING...

People want to be sold the story not just a boring sales page. They want to know that you can fit in holidays or enjoy being able to pick up the kids from school without worrying about what your boss has to say about it. The reader might be a bloke that hates kids but he will be replacing it in his mind with his own dreams.

Then when you have him all ready you just have to place him in the direction of your products with ready made internet marketing plans. Using ready made products can be a wonderful way to serve a purpose and here is a couple of examples via my own products.

http://www.bloggingwithpride.com is one of the cornerstones of my online business. Its a method I use time and time again to set up profitable Blogs. Best of all IT WORKS a treat and like the sales page states I am showing you my secrets.

http://www.internetmarketingtrio.com This does exactly the same as the one above but takes you through article writing, affiliate marketing and eBaying.

But for both of the above I still get the odd refund request because it is not a method in a box. It is providing the ideas and facts but some people actually want it provided to them on a plate therefore don't want to think for themselves. The end result though is that these very methods have provided me with the lifestyle I wanted and gave me the opportunity to leave the horrible job that I loathed.

They tell you what to do but you still have to come up with the idea of which niche you want to work in and you have to put it into practice. This scares the pants off many people and even some of you reading it now will be gutted that it doesn't include some ready made formula but in this business we all need to think for ourselves to a certain extent otherwise our business will never hit the next level.

If your business carried on like this, later on when people come to YOU for advice you will not be able to provide it. This is the real reason why many don't make it online as they don't actually put the effort in. We are not talking a lot just a little and a spark of creativity is one of the most important steps.

Then you have to work out exactly what you need for your business

	Product to sell
	Somewhere to sell it from
	Some people to sell it to
	Free product to build a mailing list with

First of all though go in gently as possible to get you used to what it is all about. Find a good quality product on Clickbank that pays 60% commission or above and promote it. As long as you can put together a decent copy and promote it you are on to a winner. This is the true system to making money and getting rich online.

Of course there is more to it than this but this is by far the basics that you require. You could also promote it by doing things such as:

	List Building
	Squidoo Lenses
	Website Building
	Membership Sites
	Videos

Don't go and waste your money on an overpriced script until you have learnt the basics. Then allow it to follow as a natural progression and it will become so much more easier. Yes there will be other things that you will need to learn on your way i.e. uploading WebPages but if you shop around their are plenty of tutorials available for free if and when you require it.

You have to remember how important it is to learn how to walk before you can run and this is no different within internet marketing. Find out what you need to know now and then leave the rest. Those tabs that you don't understand on Hostgator doesn't matter as you don't need them right now and if you concentrate on what you do need you will forget about the rest pretty quickly.

You should know what you need

Just like many others I get lots of people trying to flog me things and will often not even bother answering the email as it irritates me way too much to give a polite answer. When someone emails me telling me that I am losing the majority of my sales because my webpage isn't at his standard I often find myself laughing. Because I am the one with the six figure salary yet he is trying to tout for trade because he is yet another skint web designer. But the sad truth is that so many people would fall for this line time and time again.

If you are considering buying something for your business make sure you are going to actually use it right now and it will not be sat their six months down the line.
